FAQ & Pricing
-
An End-of-Life Doula is a non-medical practitioner who will provide guidance and companionship to the dying and their loved ones, however long that may be. At Beyond Sound and Sky, this includes holding space for reflection, guiding conversations about wishes, what is being left behind, and offering comfort and presence throughout the transition.
-
There are a lot of emotions when dealing with the end of life- not only for the one nearing the end, but also for their loved ones. In these instances, particularly when grieving both before and after death, it can be a great relief to have a calm and knowledgeable presence for all involved. I can offer compassionate support tailored to your needs so that you are not alone, and you know that there is someone to there to guide and support you through this transition.
-
There is no right or wrong time to connect- you can reach out at any time, some possibilities include:
When you first receive a diagnosis
As you are beginning to think about or are using hospice or palliative care
When a dying loved one needs or desires a listening presence
When you are contemplating a project to leave behind for loved ones to remember you
When your family doesn't know the best path forward
As your caregivers or loved ones need respite support
When you are losing or lost a loved one and need help processing grief
When you are planning ahead for one’s own end of life
Though each individual's situation will be different, the earlier we connect, the more time we have to get to know each other. I can help you navigate this transition with compassion and patience.

Hospice provides medical care and pain management at the end of life. I compliment any care by offering emotional and logistical support. I work alongside your existing care team (or before it’s needed) to ensure the experience is grounded, meaningful, and aligned with your values—filling in the quiet, human-centered spaces that clinical care simply can't provide.
-
The cost of End-of-Life Doula services is not yet covered by insurance providers. Depending on your location and services requested, costs for end-of-life doula services range from $35 to $75 per hour, though my main goal is to help and support my community. I believe strongly in this work and that everyone should have the opportunity to be supported during the end of their lives without the financial stressors that many have to deal with. I can work with you and your family to come up with a plan that works for everyone.
-
Not at all. While I offer direct support to individuals nearing the end of life, I also work closely with family members and caregivers—helping them process emotions, prepare for what’s ahead, and stay grounded in presence. Holding space for everyone involved is part of the heart of this work.
-
Yes. I offer both in-person services (depending on location) and virtual sessions via phone or video. This allows for flexibility, especially for families spread across distances, or for those who prefer quiet support from the comfort of home.
